Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration

The Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC) is a non-profit research organization based in Uganda that conducts high-quality clinical and surveillance research. Established as a partnership between the Uganda Ministry of Health, Makerere University, and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), IDRC focuses on major public health challenges including malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis. The organization operates multiple research sites across Uganda, providing essential data for policy-making and implementing large-scale clinical trials. IDRC is a key player in global health, contributing to the development of treatment guidelines and the evaluation of new interventions in resource-limited settings.
