Infinity Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing novel medicines for cancer patients by targeting the tumor microenvironment. The company's lead product candidate was eganelisib (formerly IPI-549), an orally administered small molecule designed to inhibit PI3K-gamma and reprogram macrophages to promote an anti-tumor immune response. In 2023, following a failed merger with MEI Pharma, Infinity Pharmaceuticals filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and subsequently sold its clinical assets to Deerfield Healthcare Innovations Fund III.
