InfleXion Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of novel small molecule inhibitors for oncology. The company's primary research centered on the MNK (MAPK-interacting kinase) pathway, which is a key regulator of protein synthesis in cancer cells. Their lead candidate, IFX-101, was designed as a highly selective inhibitor of MNK1 and MNK2 to disrupt the production of oncogenic proteins. In 2019, the company's lead program was acquired by AUM Biosciences in a deal worth up to $135 million in development and commercial milestones. Following this transaction, the lead asset was renamed AUM-001 and progressed into clinical trials for solid tumors.
