Innogenetics was a prominent Belgian biotechnology company founded in 1985, specializing in the development and commercialization of diagnostic solutions and therapeutic products. The company was a pioneer in molecular diagnostics, particularly known for its proprietary Line ImmunoAssay (LIA) and Line Probe Assay (LiPA) technologies used for multiparameter testing. Its core focus areas included infectious diseases such as Hepatitis C and HIV, as well as neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease, where it led the market in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers. After being acquired by Solvay in 2008 and subsequently sold to Fujirebio in 2010, the company was eventually rebranded as Fujirebio Europe.
