Innovation Saskatchewan

Innovation Saskatchewan is the central innovation agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, established as a Crown corporation to bolster the province's research and development ecosystem. The agency is responsible for managing strategic investments in science and technology, including the oversight of the Innovation Place research parks in Saskatoon and Regina. It provides critical funding and support to various sectors, with a primary focus on life sciences, agriculture, energy, and mining. By facilitating collaborations between the provincial government, academic institutions, and private industry, Innovation Saskatchewan drives the commercialization of new technologies. Key supported entities include the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF). The agency also administers the Saskatchewan Technology Startup Incentive (STSI) to encourage investment in early-stage technology companies.
