Company intelligence / Profile preview
Innovative Surgical Solutions was a privately held U.S. medical device company that developed proprietary intraoperative nerve localization technology for spine surgery. The company specialized in mechanomyography-based nerve monitoring systems designed as an alternative to conventional electromyography-based neuromonitoring, with products intended to help surgeons locate and map motor nerves during minimally invasive procedures. Its lead commercial technology included the NeuralMAS and later Sentio MMG systems for nerve mapping and avoidance. The business operated from Michigan and focused on improving safety and workflow in spine surgery. In June 2017, DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, acquired the company, after which the standalone company appears to have ceased operating independently.
