Inologic

Inologic was a Seattle-based biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics targeting inositol signaling pathways. The company's research centered on the role of inositol polyphosphates in cell growth and signal transduction, with primary applications in oncology and inflammatory disorders. Founded as a spin-off from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Inologic utilized proprietary technology to identify inhibitors of enzymes such as IP3 kinase. In 1999, the company was acquired by NeoRx Corporation (which later became Poniard Pharmaceuticals) to bolster their pipeline of anti-proliferative agents. The acquisition integrated Inologic's small molecule expertise with NeoRx's existing focus on targeted cancer therapies.
