Overview

Inreda Diabetic has developed the first CE-marked bi-hormonal fully closed-loop artificial pancreas system. Clinical trials have shown that their device provides superior glucose control compared to standard insulin pump therapy, increasing time-in-range while reducing hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Over one year, users experienced significant improvements without needing to count carbohydrates or manually adjust doses. Some technical challenges remain with daily glucagon replacement, but these are being addressed through ongoing R&D. More than 100 people are already using the device commercially in Europe.
