Insense

Insense is a medical technology company specializing in advanced wound care solutions through proprietary enzyme-based delivery systems. Spun out from Unilever's research laboratories, the company developed an "active healing" platform that enables the controlled delivery of therapeutic agents, such as oxygen and iodine, directly to the wound bed. Its flagship products, Oxyzyme and Iodozyme, utilize glucose oxidase and other enzymes to promote healing in chronic and non-healing wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers. The company's technology and product portfolio were acquired by Crawford Healthcare in 2013, which was subsequently integrated into the 3M medical solutions business.
