InstantDx, also known as Instant Diagnostics, is a medical technology company specializing in the development of rapid, point-of-care diagnostic systems. The company's core technology is a proprietary electrochemical platform designed to detect pathogens with laboratory-level sensitivity in under 20 minutes. Initially a pioneer in the electronic prescribing space, the company transitioned its focus to diagnostics following the sale of its e-prescribing assets to Emdeon in 2007. Its current pipeline includes diagnostic tests for SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A/B, and Group A Streptococcus. The platform is designed for use in diverse settings such as physician offices, clinics, and pharmacies to facilitate immediate treatment decisions. Led by industry veteran George Cohen, InstantDx aims to transform the diagnostic landscape by enabling decentralized, high-accuracy testing.
