Institut Pourquier

Institut Pourquier was a prominent French biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacture of veterinary diagnostic kits. Based in Montpellier, the company was a global leader in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology for livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry. Its products were essential for the screening and monitoring of major infectious diseases such as Bluetongue, Brucellosis, and Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD). In 2009, Institut Pourquier was acquired by IDEXX Laboratories, a move that significantly expanded IDEXX's portfolio in the livestock and poultry diagnostic markets.
