Institute of Public Health in Ireland

The Institute of Public Health (IPH) is a cross-border organization dedicated to improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities across the island of Ireland. Established under the Good Friday Agreement, the Institute provides evidence-based research, policy analysis, and health intelligence to the Departments of Health in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. Its work focuses on key public health challenges including tobacco control, alcohol policy, mental health, and the prevention of chronic diseases. By fostering cooperation between jurisdictions, the IPH supports the development of effective public health policies and promotes best practices in population health management.
