The Instituto de Gestão Estratégica de Saúde do Distrito Federal (IGESDF) is a non-profit social healthcare organization that manages major public health facilities in Brasília, Brazil. Originally established in 2018 as the Instituto Hospital de Base do Distrito Federal (IHBDF), the entity was created to modernize the management of the region's largest hospital through a more flexible administrative model. In 2019, its scope was expanded to include the management of the Hospital Regional de Santa Maria and several Emergency Care Units (UPAs). The institute provides high-complexity medical services, specializing in areas such as oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery, and polytrauma care. It serves as a critical hub for the public health network in the Federal District, focusing on integrated care and administrative efficiency.
