Instituto Tecnológico PET (ITP) is a prominent Spanish radiopharmaceutical company focused on the development, production, and distribution of tracers for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. Founded in 1994 through a partnership with the Complutense University of Madrid, the company was a pioneer in Spain, installing the country's first medical cyclotron. ITP's core business involves the manufacture of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG-18), a critical isotope for oncology diagnostics, as well as the research of novel radiotracers for neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. The company vertically integrates the production, marketing, and distribution of its products, serving a significant portion of the hospital market in Spain and Portugal. ITP also maintains a diagnostic division equipped with advanced PET/CT imaging technology located at the MD Anderson International Hospital in Madrid. Following its acquisition by Curium Pharma, ITP has integrated into a global network, continuing to provide specialized diagnostic services and radiopharmaceutical supply across the Iberian Peninsula.
