Intact Vascular

Intact Vascular was a U.S. medical device company focused on minimally invasive peripheral vascular products for the treatment of peripheral artery disease. Its flagship product was the Tack Endovascular System, a first-of-its-kind minimal-metal implant designed to repair dissections after peripheral balloon angioplasty in above-the-knee and below-the-knee vessels. The company generated clinical data through the TOBA study program and obtained both CE Mark authorization and FDA approvals for its Tack systems. In August 2020, Royal Philips announced an agreement to acquire Intact Vascular for approximately $275 million upfront to expand Philips' image-guided therapy device portfolio. Intact Vascular is therefore best understood as an acquired medtech company rather than an independent biotech or pharmaceutical developer.
