Integrated Biosystems was a pioneering bioprocessing technology company that specialized in the development of systems for the freezing, storage, and transport of bulk biopharmaceutical products. The company's flagship technology, the CryoVessel, provided a controlled-rate freeze-thaw solution that ensured the stability and integrity of high-value proteins and antibodies. In addition to its cryopreservation solutions, the company was an early leader in the shift toward single-use and disposable bioprocessing equipment. Acquired by Stedim in 2001, the company's innovations were later integrated into the Sartorius Stedim Biotech portfolio following a major merger in 2007.
