Integrated Healthcare Information Services (IHS) was a specialized medical communications and clinical data company that provided strategic services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, the company focused on translating complex clinical research into actionable medical education and communication programs for healthcare professionals. IHS underwent a series of high-profile acquisitions, being purchased by Ingenix (a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group) in 2004 and subsequently sold to Informa plc in 2007. Within Informa, it was integrated into the Pharma Intelligence division, which eventually merged with Norstella (Citeline) in 2022.
