Intergel, Inc. was a biotechnology and medical device company primarily known for developing the Intergel Adhesion Prevention Solution, a ferric hyaluronate-based hydrogel designed to reduce post-surgical adhesions. The company's lead product was specifically targeted for use in gynecological and peritoneal surgeries to prevent the formation of internal scar tissue. Intergel was acquired by Lifecore Biomedical in 1997, which continued the development and commercialization of the technology.
