Interlock Medizintechnik, now operating as Key Surgical GmbH, is a German manufacturer and distributor specializing in sterile processing, operating room (OR), and endoscopy supplies. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Lensahn, Germany, the company offers a vast portfolio of over 5,000 products, including surgical instrument accessories, cleaning brushes, and sterilization containers. In 2017, Interlock merged with the U.S.-based Key Surgical under the backing of Water Street Healthcare Partners, and the combined entity was subsequently acquired by STERIS in 2020 for $850 million. The company serves thousands of hospitals and surgical centers globally, focusing on enhancing patient safety and efficiency in the central sterile supply department (CSSD).
