International Bio Immune Systems (IBS) was a biotechnology company focused on the development of monoclonal antibodies for the diagnosis and treatment of various solid tumors, particularly colorectal and pancreatic cancers. The company's research centered on identifying unique tumor-associated antigens (TSAs) and developing specific antibodies to target them, such as those directed against variants of MUC5AC and PSMA. In December 2008, the company's intellectual property and clinical assets were acquired by Neogenix Oncology. This acquisition integrated IBS's lead candidates, including the monoclonal antibody Ensituximab (NEO-101), into a broader oncology pipeline aimed at addressing significant unmet needs in gastrointestinal and respiratory malignancies.
