Bausch Health, formerly known as ICN Pharmaceuticals and originally founded as the International Chemical and Nuclear Corporation, is a global diversified pharmaceutical company. The company's historical legacy is rooted in the development of ribavirin, a breakthrough antiviral medication marketed as Virazole for respiratory infections and later used extensively in the treatment of Hepatitis C. Founded by Milan Panić in 1960, the organization grew through a series of strategic international acquisitions before rebranding as Valeant Pharmaceuticals in 2003. Following a significant merger with Biovail in 2010 and a subsequent pivot toward eye health and gastrointestinal diseases, the company adopted the Bausch Health name in 2018.
