Established in 1994 by former senior scientists from the National Cancer Institute, the institute provided high-level scientific consulting and research services to government entities, the private sector, and legal counsel. IEI's expertise spanned various domains, including cancer etiology, occupational and environmental health, and the safety of medical products and devices.
