Company intelligence / Profile preview
The International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm) is a multilateral development institution that provides front-loaded funding for global health and immunization programs. By issuing "vaccine bonds" in the capital markets, IFFIm converts long-term legally binding pledges from donor governments into immediately available cash. These funds are primarily used by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to accelerate the delivery of life-saving vaccines to children in the world's poorest countries. Since its inception in 2006, IFFIm has played a critical role in scaling up immunization coverage and strengthening health systems globally.
