Company intelligence / Profile preview
International Hospital for Children (IHC) was a non-profit healthcare organization based in Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to providing advanced medical care to children in developing nations. The organization specialized in linking children suffering from complex, life-threatening conditions with critical surgical and diagnostic services that were unavailable in their home countries. IHC operated by transporting patients to partner hospitals in the United States and by deploying volunteer surgical teams to regions in Central America and the Caribbean. In 2010, IHC merged with the St. Louis-based organization Heal the Children to form the World Pediatric Project. This strategic consolidation aimed to scale their impact and streamline the delivery of pediatric specialty care globally.
