International Vision Network (IVN), later known as Ocular Sciences, was a prominent healthcare company primarily focused on the development and manufacturing of high-quality contact lenses. Founded in 1983 by John Fruth, the company established itself as a major player in the ophthalmic medical device sector, specializing in soft contact lenses for various vision correction needs. Beyond manufacturing, the IVN name has also been associated with clinical research networks and practice management consulting within the ophthalmology field. The company's core business was eventually integrated into The Cooper Companies following its acquisition in 2004, significantly expanding the global reach of its vision care products.
