Company intelligence / Profile preview
Intravenous Therapy Services (ITS) was a specialty home infusion company based in Burbank, California, that provided comprehensive infusion pharmacy and high-tech skilled nursing services. Founded by Marcel Sassola III, the company specialized in administering complex medications, including antibiotics, parenteral nutrition, and immunological products, to patients in their homes or ambulatory settings. ITS was notable for introducing the first pharmacy-based Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) in California in 2004, enhancing patient access to specialized care. In March 2006, the company was acquired by BioScrip for approximately $13 million to expand BioScrip's national infusion footprint, particularly on the West Coast. Following the acquisition, its operations were integrated into BioScrip's infusion division, which later became part of Option Care Health.
