Inwood Laboratories

Inwood Laboratories was a pharmaceutical company that specialized in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of generic drug products. For much of its history, it operated as a key subsidiary of Forest Laboratories, serving as the primary arm for its generic pharmaceutical business. The company was instrumental in bringing affordable versions of widely used medications to market, particularly in the cardiovascular and central nervous system therapeutic areas. Notable products included generic formulations of diltiazem and selegiline. Following the series of mergers that saw Forest Laboratories acquired by Actavis and eventually AbbVie, Inwood's operations were integrated into the parent organizations' global generic or specialty divisions.
