Inxight Software was a leading provider of text analytics and information visualization software, originally spun out of Xerox PARC in 1997. The company's technology was specifically tailored for the life sciences and government sectors, enabling researchers to extract structured data from massive volumes of unstructured text such as medical journals and patent filings. Its suite of tools, including the SmartDiscovery and Star Tree visualization platforms, played a critical role in pharmaceutical informatics and drug discovery workflows. Inxight was acquired by Business Objects in 2007, and its technology was subsequently integrated into SAP's business intelligence portfolio.
