Iomega

Iomega was a prominent American technology company primarily known for its external storage solutions, most notably the Zip drive, which became a ubiquitous storage medium in the 1990s. While the company operated a healthcare division that provided specialized data storage and backup solutions for medical imaging and patient records, it was not a biotechnology or pharmaceutical entity. Iomega's products were widely used in clinical settings for the secure transport and archiving of large medical data sets, such as MRI and CT scans. The company was eventually acquired by EMC Corporation in 2008 and later became part of a joint venture with Lenovo known as LenovoEMC.
