Iowa Health Information Network

The Iowa Health Information Network (IHIN) is the state-designated health information exchange (HIE) for Iowa, providing a secure electronic infrastructure for the sharing of health information among healthcare providers. It facilitates the exchange of clinical data, including lab results, medication history, and continuity of care documents, to improve patient safety and care coordination. IHIN serves a broad network of hospitals, clinics, and public health agencies across the state. In 2022, IHIN merged with KONZA National Network to expand its technical capabilities and provide enhanced data analytics and interoperability services to its participants.
