IR BioSciences Holdings was a development-stage biotechnology company focused on the research and development of immunomodulatory therapies. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, ImmuneRegen BioSciences, the company developed its lead drug candidate, Homspera, a synthetic peptide analog of the endogenous neurokinin Substance P. Homspera was designed to stimulate human adult stem cells and enhance the immune system, with potential applications in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), infectious diseases like influenza, and radiation-induced neutropenia. Despite early-stage clinical progress and multiple academic collaborations, the company ceased active operations and its public reporting obligations in the early 2010s.
