Iranian Biological Resource Center

The Iranian Biological Resource Center (IBRC) is a national organization dedicated to the collection, identification, and preservation of biological resources in Iran. Established in 2006 under the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), the center operates four major banks: Microorganisms, Plant, Human and Animal Cells, and Molecular Biology. IBRC provides a wide range of services including the supply of certified biological samples, identification of new species, and specialized laboratory testing for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The center serves as a critical infrastructure for life science research, supporting academic and industrial development through its extensive repository and quality control standards.
