Company intelligence / Profile preview
ISR Immune System Regulation (ISR) is a Swedish biotechnology company that specialized in developing immunotherapies for chronic infectious diseases and oncology. The company utilized two proprietary technology platforms: Immunorhelines, which are based on gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogs, and Immunolides, which are immunostimulatory macrolides. Its clinical pipeline was led by ISR048, a Phase 2 candidate for HIV, and ISR52, a nasally inhaled dry powder vaccine for COVID-19. ISR's approach focused on stimulating the body's own immune system to identify and eliminate infected or malignant cells. However, the company faced severe financial challenges and regulatory issues, leading to its delisting from the Nasdaq First North Growth Market in 2023 and a subsequent bankruptcy filing in September 2024.
