iST Jobst, formerly Jobst Technologies GmbH, is a Germany-based biosensor and microfluidics company focused on electrochemical analytics, analyte monitoring, and custom microsystems solutions for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical, and diagnostics applications. Founded in 2002 as a spin-off from the University of Freiburg's IMTEK, the company develops and manufactures chemical sensors for methanol, ethanol, and oxygen, as well as biosensors for glucose, lactate, glutamine, and glutamate. Its offerings also include microfluidic systems, sensor arrays, robotic dispensing systems, and integrated monitoring solutions that combine sensors, electronics, software, and fluidics. The company operates as an acquired subsidiary of Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG and was rebranded to iST Jobst in November 2025. Rather than a therapeutic drug developer, it is best understood as a commercial platform and components supplier serving bioprocessing, medical technology, and life science instrumentation markets.
