Isthmus Project

Isthmus Project is an innovation hub and venture studio based at UW Health and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The organization serves as a bridge between clinical practice and commercialization, helping UW Health employees and UW-Madison faculty turn innovative ideas into products, services, or startup companies. By providing business expertise, seed funding, and clinical validation pathways, Isthmus Project accelerates the development of medical devices, digital health solutions, and diagnostic tools. Its primary mission is to improve patient care and health outcomes through the support of homegrown healthcare entrepreneurship.
