Company intelligence / Profile preview
Iverson Genetic Diagnostics developed and commercialized advanced genetic tests to support early disease detection, personalized medicine, and optimal drug dosing. Notably, it led a large CMS-approved clinical study assessing whether pharmacogenetic testing of CYP2C9/VKORC1 could reduce adverse events during warfarin therapy initiation. The company also held exclusive rights to molecular diagnostic technologies from Johns Hopkins University for cardiovascular and infertility risk assessment based on SCARB1 gene variants. However, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2015 after Medicare sought repayment of $19.7 million over alleged improper billing; its current operational status is inactive.[8][9]
