Janeway Hospital

The Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre, commonly known as the Janeway, is the primary pediatric hospital for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Located in St. John's, it provides a comprehensive range of specialized medical services for children and youth, including emergency care, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric surgery. The facility operates under the provincial health authority, Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, and serves as a major teaching and research site in affiliation with Memorial University. It is the only tertiary care center for pediatrics in the region, offering subspecialty clinics in areas such as oncology, cardiology, and mental health. The hospital is supported by the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation, which facilitates fundraising for advanced medical equipment and pediatric research initiatives. It was named in honor of Dr. Charles Alderson Janeway, a pioneer in pediatric immunology.
