Japan Stent Technology is a Japanese medical device company specializing in the development and production of high-performance coronary stents. The company is widely recognized for its innovation in drug-eluting stent (DES) technology, particularly its use of bioresorbable polymers and abluminal coating techniques designed to promote faster vascular healing. Its flagship product, the Nobori stent, was developed in partnership with Terumo Corporation and has achieved significant commercial success in international markets. Founded in 2003 as a spin-off from Okayama University, the company established itself as a leader in cardiovascular intervention R&D. In 2016, Terumo Corporation acquired the remaining shares of the company, fully integrating its operations and technology into Terumo's vascular intervention division.
