JHP Pharmaceuticals was an integrated specialty healthcare company focused on the development, manufacture, and distribution of sterile injectable pharmaceuticals. It operated both its own branded/generic injectable drug business—primarily targeting hospitals—and provided contract manufacturing services to global pharmaceutical companies. The company had significant expertise in aseptic fill-finish operations for small molecules and biologics. Its Rochester facility was one of the oldest licensed vaccine/biologics plants in the US with extensive GMP capabilities. In January 2013 it was acquired by Warburg Pincus; in early 2014 it was sold to Par Pharmaceutical Companies.
