Jones Institute Foundation

The Jones Institute Foundation supports the Howard and Georgeanna Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, a premier center for assisted reproductive technology located in Norfolk, Virginia. The institute is historically significant for achieving the first successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) pregnancy and birth in the United States in 1981. It provides a wide range of clinical services, including IVF, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and preimplantation genetic testing. Beyond clinical care, the foundation facilitates advanced research in reproductive endocrinology, embryology, and andrology. The organization also serves as a major educational hub, offering fellowships and training programs for specialists in reproductive medicine. It is currently part of the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University following the merger with Eastern Virginia Medical School.
