Jouan Robotics

Jouan Robotics was a France-based laboratory automation and life science tools business associated with Jouan SA, focused on robotic systems for sample storage, automated centrifugation, and automated incubation used by research and clinical laboratories. The business appears to have operated as a division and/or legal entity within the Jouan group rather than as a therapeutics developer. Its offerings were aimed at improving throughput and handling of biological samples for academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical users. Jouan SA was acquired by Thermo Electron in January 2004, and Jouan Robotics no longer appears to operate as an active standalone company. The Jouan brand has persisted historically on certain laboratory equipment manuals and legacy product references under Thermo Fisher-related documentation.
