In July 2011, JPS Surgical was acquired by Symmetry Medical for approximately $4.5 million to bolster its Hospital Solutions business segment. This acquisition allowed Symmetry to expand its direct-to-hospital service offerings and enhance its portfolio of reusable surgical instruments. Following the acquisition, JPS Surgical's operations were integrated into Symmetry's infrastructure, which was later acquired by Aspen Surgical.
