Overview

Juno Therapeutics, now a subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, is a leading biotechnology company specializing in the development of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. The company's flagship product, Breyanzi (lisocabtagene maraleucel), is an autologous CD19-directed CAR-T cell therapy approved for several types of large B-cell lymphoma. Juno's proprietary technology focuses on a defined composition of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, aimed at providing a precise and potent therapeutic response with a manageable safety profile. Originally founded on research from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Seattle Children's Research Institute, Juno was acquired by Celgene in 2018, which was subsequently acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in 2019.
