Overview
Juvaris developed a novel adjuvant platform based on cationic lipid-non-coding DNA complexes, which demonstrated strong T-cell and antibody responses in preclinical models. Its lead adjuvant, JVRS‑100, reached Phase 2 clinical trials as an enhancer for seasonal flu vaccines in the elderly. The company also advanced proprietary vaccine candidates for influenza, hepatitis B, HSV‑2, and pneumonia. In 2011, all human health assets were exclusively licensed to Colby Pharmaceutical Company; animal health rights had been previously licensed to Bayer AG.
