Kangbada Biomedical Technology (also known as Kangbaida) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Chengdu, China, and a subsidiary of Chengdu Baiyu Pharmaceutical. The company focuses on the discovery and development of innovative small molecule therapeutics targeting DNA damage response (DDR), oncology, autoimmune diseases, and anti-aging. Kangbada leverages its proprietary AI Intelligent Drug Discovery Platform to accelerate the design and optimization of highly selective, brain-penetrant, and long-acting drug candidates. Its lead program, KBD1298 (BY1298), is a highly selective oral DNA-PK inhibitor currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for solid tumors, which was licensed to Novartis in October 2024 in a landmark deal worth up to $1.17 billion.
