Company intelligence / Profile preview
Kareo was founded in California in 2004 by Dan Rodrigues to address inefficiencies in independent medical practices through cloud-based software. It became one of the leading providers of electronic health records, billing/practice management platforms, and patient engagement tools tailored specifically for small-to-medium-sized ambulatory clinics. In late 2021, it merged with healthcare marketing firm PatientPop to create “Tebra,” which now serves over 100k providers nationwide. The original “Kareo” products remain available within this new structure but are no longer marketed independently.
