Company intelligence / Profile preview
Keltic Financial Partners, primarily known as Keltic Financial Services, was a specialty finance company that provided asset-based lending to middle-market businesses across North America. While the firm operated as a financial institution rather than a biotechnology developer, it maintained a significant focus on the healthcare and life sciences sectors, providing essential credit facilities to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. These loans were typically used to support working capital, fund acquisitions, or facilitate corporate restructurings for companies with limited access to traditional bank financing. In 2014, Keltic was acquired by Provident Bank, a subsidiary of Provident Financial Services, Inc., for approximately $11.5 million. Following the acquisition, Keltic's operations and portfolio were integrated into Provident Bank's commercial lending division to expand its asset-based lending capabilities.
