Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute (KEVEVAPI) is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Kenya, dedicated to the research, development, and manufacture of veterinary vaccines. Established in 1990, the institute centralizes the production of essential biologics to safeguard livestock health and enhance food security within Kenya and the broader East African region. KEVEVAPI operates specialized production units in Kabete, Tigoni, and Embakasi, producing a diverse portfolio of vaccines for viral and bacterial diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease and Newcastle Disease. The organization serves as a critical link in the livestock value chain, providing affordable and high-quality vaccines to smallholder farmers and large-scale producers alike.
