Company intelligence / Profile preview
Kiadis Pharma is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of "off-the-shelf" natural killer (NK) cell therapies for patients with life-threatening diseases. The company's proprietary K-NK cell platform is designed to provide allogeneic cell products derived from healthy donors, offering a scalable and cost-effective alternative to autologous therapies. Kiadis' lead programs, including K-NK002 and K-NK003, targeted the prevention of relapse in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). In 2021, the company was acquired by Sanofi for approximately €308 million to bolster Sanofi's immuno-oncology pipeline. However, in April 2024, Sanofi announced plans to close the Kiadis business as part of a strategic shift in its R&D priorities.
