Company intelligence / Profile preview
Kind Consumer was a London-based healthcare company that specialized in the development of inhalation technologies for nicotine replacement therapy. The company's primary product, Voke, is a non-electronic, breath-activated nicotine inhaler that delivers a metered dose of nicotine without the use of heat, electronics, or combustion. Voke achieved a significant regulatory milestone by becoming the first such device to be licensed as a medicinal product by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). This classification allowed the product to be prescribed by healthcare professionals for smoking cessation. Despite its clinical and regulatory success, Kind Consumer entered administration in November 2020 due to funding constraints. The company's assets and intellectual property were later sold to continue the commercialization of the Voke technology.
